Day 1

City tour of Warsaw  includes the Old Town (UNESCO) - the oldest part of Warsaw and the heart of the area which it was established as early as in the 13th century. 90% of it was destroyed during World War II and since then it has been rebuilt completely. It is surrounded by the city walls and the Barbican also reconstructed after the World War II. The tour will take you from  the Old Town along the Royal Route (the Royal Castle, the King Sigismund III Waza Column, the Presidential Palace, the University) to  the Royal Lazienki Park (the Baths Park) which is  one of the most beautiful palace-and-garden sites in Europe and the largest park in Warsaw. You will also visit the Palace of Science and Culture, an icon of communism, which has been the most controversial building in Warsaw for many years. Erected in 1955 as a gift from the Soviet Union to the people of Poland it is still the highest building in Warsaw.

 

Day 2
Niepokalanów - Franciscan monastery, sanctuary established by Saint Maksymilian Kolbe. 
We will visit an interesting museum dedicated to life of Saint Maksymilian  and providing an overview of city's history. 
Żelazowa Wola is one-hour-drive from Warsaw and is a most favourite destination of tourists and
music lovers from Poland and abroad. It is Fryderyk Chopin’s  birthplace which currently houses the composer’s museum and a park.

Plock - one of the oldest cities in Poland, notable for its picturesque location on the high bank of the Vistula River. Strolling through Tumskie Hills we will see the roman cathedral. We will pay a visit to Divine Mercy Sanctuary where on Feb 22nd, 1931 Saint Faustyna witnessed the first revelation of the Painting of Merciful Jesus.

Day 3 
Travel to Lichen
We visit the Our Lady of Lichen Sanctuary, which has been completed in 2004, after 10 years of construction. Currently this is the largest temple in Poland, 8th in Europe and 12th in the world. It is 139 meters in length, 77 meters in width, and 141 meters tall. The sunlight enters the temple through exactly 365 windows (number of days in a year) and one can enter inside through exactly 52 doors (number of weeks in a year). There are also 33 stairs leading into the temple which corresponds to the life of Jesus Christ on Earth. It is possible to gather almost 250 thousand people on the exterior square of the Temple. 

 

Day 4

After breakfast we travel to Głogowiec village where we visit the birthplace of Saint Faustyna, and in nearby village (Swinice Warckie) we visit her parochial church where she was baptized and witness her first vision. 
We travel to Czestochowa, the spiritual capital of Poland, we visit Jasna Gora, one of the largest Marian Sanctuaries in Europe. Every year more than 5 million people from Poland and around the world go on a pilgrimage. We go in the footsteps of pilgrims and admire the Black Madonna Icon. It is possible to have a personal prayer in the Paulin Monastery. 
Drive to Krakow 

 

Day 5

Kraków - We visit Old Town with the most important monuments of Cracow: Square with Cloth Hall and St. Mary's Basilica, Florian's Gate, Barbican, Bishop's Palace, Jagiellonian University building, (one of the oldest in Europe), the Franciscan church, University Church of St. Anna and many other sights.

We visit the Wawel Hill with the Royal Castle and the Cathedral. It is the most historically and culturally in Poland. The castle was for centuries seat of Polish kings, now became one of the most visited museums. In the basement of the Wawel Cathedral are the Royal Tombs - resting place of kings, princes and national heroes.Kazimierz - now a district of Krakow, is one of the most important tourist attractions, for many centuries it’s been a place of coexistence  Jewish and Christian. We walk through the neighborhood, a remnant of the Jews living there are synagogues (Old, Remuh, High, Popper, Kupa, Isaac).

 

Day 6
Auschwitz-Birkenau - tour of the biggest Nazi concentration camp during  World War II, the place of extermination of about 1.5 million people from 28 countries including about 1 million Jews. The site is on the Unesco List.

You will visit Wadowice, the home town of K. Wojtyła, the former Pope John Paul II.

Tour of  Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, one of the most oustanding pilgrimage centers in Poland. (included on the Unesco List)

 

Day 7

We visit the John Paul II Center "Be not afraid", richly decorated with mosaics by father Marko Rupnik and located next to the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy.

Wieliczka Salt Mine - a solid rock salt dug more than 2,000 chambers, many of them are beautifully decorated, the most impressive Chapel. Kingi. The tourist route is 3.5 km, and the visiting time 3 hours. Mine entered on the UNESCO list.

 

Day 8
Breakfast, free time in Cracow, transfer to the airport.
